Opens is played at various grounds in our district including Whitfords, Ocean Ridge, Yanchep, Butler, Wanneroo and Brighton. Our home grounds are Windermere Oval in Joondalup and Falkland Park in Kinross. The link to fixtures is available on our website close to the start of the season.
Teams coming out of Modifieds are increased to cater for 18 players per side on the ground.
- Year 7 – 11.30am
- Year 8 – 11.30am
- Year 9 – 1.15pm
- Year 10 – 3.15pm
- Year 11 – 1.15pm
- Year 12 – 3.15pm
There are more volunteer’s roles to help co-ordinate each game in Opens football. Each week your team manager must organise a first aid volunteer, 2 water runners and goal umpires.
The Opens teams will train at least once a week either at Windermere Oval (Joondalup), Falkland Park (Kinross), or Carlton Park (Currambine). The day and time of the week will be set at the beginning of the season.
